Responsibilities
As a Retail Security Officer, you will provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities. You will carry out guarding duties in-store and perform the following:
* Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity
* Assessing vulnerabilities and proactively minimising risk
* Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
* Managing vulnerable persons with empathy and ensuring no distress
* Carrying out colleague and contractor searches as required in line with customer policy
* Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning
* Providing detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the Client and Local Authorities

Location: Prenton
Hours: 18 Hours
Shift Pattern: Fri, Sat (12:00-21:00)
Hourly Rate: £13.54
The Person
To be an effective Security Officer, you should be a confident communicator, able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of activity. You should be welcoming and patient with customers and able to handle conflict professionally.
Requirements and qualifications
Required: A valid SIA licence to apply for this role. Previous experience in Retail Security is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
Note: You must have a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence to apply for this role.
