Job Overview
Applications are invited from therapy radiographers who would like to develop their career in a forward thinking, award winning and technically advanced radiotherapy department at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
Responsibilities
* Work between pre‑treatment and treatment floor across two sites within the hospital (main building and Endeavour Unit).
* Provide clinical support using 6 Elekta Agility machines with IGRT/IMRT capability, including DIBH with SGRT, stereoscopic 2D imaging, stereotactic body radiotherapy, VMAT treatment delivery and flattening filter free technology.
* Support pre‑treatment imaging with Siemens and Toshiba wide bore CT scanners and ProSoma virtual simulation software.
* Assist with brachytherapy service using a Nucletron remote after‑loading unit and plan production using Monaco and Raystation.
* Participate in the MDT approach to developments within the department and contribute to evidence based practice and multi‑centre clinical research trials led by the Radiotherapy Research Team.
* Rotate through treatment and pre‑treatment areas and engage in ongoing professional development to advanced practitioner level.
Qualifications
* Highly motivated application with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Therapy radiographer experience and a commitment to continual improvement of patient experiences and outcomes.
* Willingness to engage in leadership and improvement training programmes such as Leadership Impact, Leading Your Team to Success, Service Improvement for Beginners and Developing your Service Improvement Skills.
