Anestablished, not ‑ for ‑ profit organisation providing residential and community-based services is seeking a dedicated professional to support health & safety and statutorypliance across its property portfolio. Your New Role
As the Property Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring that all buildings across the portfolio remain fullypliant with statutory and health & safety requirements. Working closely with internal property teams, quality colleagues, and external service partners, you will:
1. Manage and maintain all statutorypliance documentation.
2. Coordinate fire safety, water safety, and electricalpliance records.
3. Lead site-based property and health & safety checks, ensuring timelypletion of required actions.
4. Maintain and updatepliance trackers and building records.
5. Support with incident investigations and contribute to organisation-wide learning.
6. Assist on projects including fire safety initiatives, implementation of property maintenance processes, and embedding best practice across services.
7. Build effective working relationships with managers, area teams, and frontline staff to champion a positive safety culture.
This is a frontline, highly collaborative role requiring regular site visits and proactive engagement with services.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To excel in this position, you will bring:
Experience & Knowledge
8. Experience in a similar health & safety or propertypliance role.
9. Understanding of relevant legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act and associated regulations.
10. Experience conducting audits, trackingpliance actions, and engaging multiple stakeholders.
11. Confidence interpreting and applying legislation, identifying risks, and advising on improvements.
Skills & Behaviours
12. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
13. Excellentmunication and relationship-building skills.
14. High attention to detail and ability to work proactively on your own initiative.
15. petence using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
16. Ability to prepare reports for senior leadership.
17. Enthusiasm for promoting a positive safety culture.
Qualifications
18. A full UK driving licence.
19. Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH Geneal.
What You’ll Get in Return
20. Salary £35,000–£45,000
21. 37-hour working week, with occasional evening work as required.
22. 12 ‑ month fixed ‑ term contract.
