ELSA Trained Teaching Assistant – Part-Time (3 Days per Week)

Days: 3 days per week (Monday–Wednesday preferred, negotiable)

Are you an experienced ELSA-trained Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity in a friendly and supportive primary school? We are seeking a skilled and compassionate TA to join a vibrant primary school in Haringey, working closely with children in Year 4 to support their emotional wellbeing and learning.
About the Role
1. Provide 1:1 emotional literacy support to pupils identified as benefiting from ELSA intervention.
2. Deliver group ELSA sessions for a small group of Year 4 children, focusing on social skills, resilience, confidence, and emotional regulation.
3. Work collaboratively with the school’s SENCO, class teachers, and pastoral team to plan, deliver, and review sessions.
4. Maintain an encouraging, patient, and child-centred approach that fosters emotional development and self-esteem.
About You
5. Must be ELSA trained with proven experience delivering emotional literacy programmes.
6. Experience working in a primary school setting (KS2 preferred).
7. Confident in supporting children on both a 1:1 and small group basis.
8. Empathetic, proactive, and excellent at building trust and rapport with young learners.
9. Able to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
