Overview
A rare opportunity to assist in the management of a large and diverse estates and facilities function for two NHS organisations. Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust and Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust have created an integrated estates function to develop and deliver local services to local people. The Facilities Manager role will be key to delivering a successful facilities service to support the clinical and well-being strategies for both organisations and the local STP.
About the role
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our Estates and Facilities Team. If you like the idea of working and travelling across a range of NHS buildings in Hertfordshire, the Facilities Manager role could be what you’re looking for. The team covers a wide range of sites with varying facilities from hospital-based and out-patient services to office-based Head Office environments for both Trusts.
Responsibilities
* Support the Estates and Facilities Team to ensure buildings are safe, clean and in good condition for patients, service users and visitors.
* Lead facilities operations across multiple sites, coordinating services and staff as required.
* Liaise regularly with team members and provide help and advice to colleagues as needed.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience as a Facilities Manager with a background in estates and facilities services, ideally within the NHS or public sector.
* Strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of site operations.
* Ability to manage staff and coordinate services effectively.
* Good IT skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a flexible, team-oriented attitude.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to uphold the Trust’s values.
