Job Overview
Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist to cover maternity leave. The role will deliver services within the new pan‑NHSGGC gastroenterology service, integrating with existing consultant colleagues and providing clinical excellence in gastroenterology across NHSGGC. The successful candidate will be involved in a modern consultant‑led service and develop high‑quality, novel services for the NHSGGC population.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver services within the pan‑NHSGGC gastroenterology service, integrating with existing consultant colleagues.
* Participate on the Acute Upper GI bleeding on‑call rota at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
* Contribute to pan‑NHSGGC service delivery with inpatient sessions in the Clyde sector and outpatient sessions in the South and Clyde sectors, depending on individual job plans.
* Develop high‑quality, novel services for the NHSGGC population.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and licence to practice.
* UK‑trained candidates must hold evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for CESR or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the interview date.
* Non‑UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
