Job Title: Senior Process Science Engineer
Darogan is recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing clean technology manufacturer at the scale-up stage, entering an exciting phase of commercial deployment.

The business operates from a state-of-the-art facility in South Wales, where a dynamic technical team is driving innovation, optimisation, and growth.
Role Summary – Senior Process Science Engineer
They are seeking an experienced Chemical or Process Engineer to work closely with the Chief Technology Officer to advance and optimise production process performance.The successful candidate will analyse operational data, plan and guide production runs, and lead the delivery of process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design and implementation of process trials and testing programmes with the CTO.
2. Manage analytical and modelling workstreams using advanced simulation and process tools to achieve development milestones.
3. Act as the link between R&D outputs and full-scale operations, ensuring smooth technology transfer and safe scale-up.
4. Plan and deliver the technology development roadmap, identifying opportunities for process enhancement and product improvement.
5. Support operations and engineering teams to resolve production challenges and guide continuous improvement efforts.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Approximately 6 years’ experience in chemical or process engineering, ideally within a start-up, research, or advanced manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical and modelling capability with tools such as COMSOL, Aspen, or CFD.
* Experienced in the scale-up of new or innovative processes from development to commercial operation.
* Skilled in creating a safe working environment; familiar with HAZOP and process safety management.
* A motivated, hands-on engineer with strong leadership and problem-solving ability.
