1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Mainstream Primary School | Bournemouth Location: Bournemouth, Dorset Contract: Full-time | September Start I am currently looking for a caring and dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bournemouth from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a pupil on a one-to-one basis, providing support throughout the school day and helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. The role would suit someone who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about making a positive difference in a child's educational journey. The Role Providing individual support to a pupil within the classroom environment. Encouraging engagement and participation in learning activities. Supporting academic, social, and emotional development. Adapting tasks and approaches to meet the pupil's individual needs. Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for the pupil. Building a positive and trusting relationship that promotes confidence and independence. What I'm Looking For Experience working with children, whether in education, childcare, youth work, or a similar setting. A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. A genuine passion for helping children succeed. Experience supporting children with additional needs is beneficial but not essential.
