* has the knowledge and skills to lead the teaching and learning ofa core subject across the school as a subject.
* has the necessary skills and expertise to lead on assessment and the monitoring, analysis and evaluation of pupil achievement data.
* has strong leadership and management skills and can inspire, motivate and challenge staff leading by example.
* has excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead on and promote positive supportive relationships with parents and the school community.
* has excellent relationships with children.
