This role is 37.5 hours per week - rota-based shifts including: evenings, weekends and nights. Let us introduce you to Jamie*, a man in his 60s who lives independently in his own home in Chester. He s looking for someone special not to take over, but to walk beside him. Here s what he wants you to know: From Jamie, in his own words: I m independent and like to be treated that way. I need someone who listens, not tells. I m curious and love going to new places the theatre, drama classes, bingo, and discos! I m big on horror films and action movies, and I m never far from my Xbox or PlayStation. Sometimes I just like to chill and organise my laundry. I like people who are friendly, fun, and up for anything like playing board games or exploring the neighbourhood. I take the bus a lot and even know the driver! About the Role As Jamie s Support Worker, you ll be part of a small, close-knit team dedicated to helping him live his life his way confidently, safely, and joyfully. No two days will be the same, and Jamie will look to you to: Support him to stay safe while making his own choices Accompany him to activities like bingo, theatre trips, music events, and drama classes Join in with his hobbies at home especially gaming, movies, and music Encourage his independence with everyday routines like laundry and cooking Be flexible sometimes he s out and about, and sometimes he just wants to relax at home If you think Jamie sounds like someone you d get along with we d love to hear from you.
