Main duties of the job
The role of a Bank Chef at Barchester Healthcare involves assisting the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavorsome and well-balanced menus while working with residents to tailor the offerings. The successful candidate will be required to help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, and help create a warm, efficient and fun environment. They will also be responsible for working within budget, completing regular audits, managing stock control, and assisting in leading and motivating a team.

Qualifications and requirements
* A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in residents' wellbeing
* City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification
* Experience in leading and inspiring a team
* Good understanding of nutrition
* Experience working with fresh seasonal food
* Ability to create a warm, welcoming environment
* Good understanding of HACCP
