Location: Based at The Long Barn in Fareham. Hybrid working will be available on an adhoc basis and extensive travel between sites across Hampshire and Isle of Wight will be required.

Contract: Full:time (37 hours per week) and permanent. This is a full time role and flexible working applications will be reviewed on a case:by:case basis. Due to demand and role requirements, part time hours will not be available.

Salary: PO3 ( GBP 45,174.00 : GBP 48, per annum)

The Office of Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) supports the Police and Crime Commissioner serving Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The OPCC provides a link between Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary (HIOWC) and the communities they serve through setting the budget and holding the Chief Constable to account in the delivery of an efficient and effective service.
About the role
We're looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager
to help us deliver high:quality built environment projects across a diverse police estate. Reporting into the Estates Programme Delivery Manager and Head of Estates, you will manage projects throughout their complete lifestyle from gathering the requirements from Force to handing over the work to the 'business as usual' facilities team.
With multiple projects on the go at any time, this is a demanding but varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll play a key part in keeping our police estate running smoothly and helping to improve operational policing.
What you'll be doing

Gathering project requirements from Force and generating the project scope and mandate.

Construct the project business case for the Police and Crime Commissioner's approval.
:
Generate the project management plan and managing all other relevant project documentation (e.g. risk registers).

Work closely with various departments and external consultants regarding contracts and designs etc.
:
Managing budget, scope/change requests, schedules and specific security, and IT requirements.
:
Prepare and deliver progress reports to senior managers, including the Police and Crime Commissioner on occasion.
:
Managing on:site contract work, and signing off contractor accounts and invoices in:line with the project budget.
:
Arrange and chair meetings with a variety of stakeholders.
:
Managing all staff and stakeholders involved in a project and defining roles and responsibilities, including OPCC employees, HIOWC employees, and external contractors. There is no direct line management responsibilities outside of project scope.

Liaising with the business as usual team on soft landings during the project and defects and snaging post practical completion.

Ensuring health and safety and statutory compliance across multiple sites.

Qualifications:

QCF level 6 or equivalent, or to have significant workplace experience in a related field.
:
A recognised project management specific qualification such as APM PMQ (Project Management Qualification) or Prince2.

Full UK driving licence.
Experience and skills:

:
At least 3 years project management experience, ideally within the construction or a similar, industry.

Public sector experience is preferred but not essent
