Join the Close Brothers Motor Finance Team, located in Dublin, where you will work closely with the local management team and key stakeholders from across the Motor business, as well as the Bank’s wider finance team.
Working closely with the Head of Finance, the role will be responsible for the shaping and delivery of management information, production of the management accounts, internal reporting requirements and cost management / tracking (including Project spend).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monthly Business Performance & Reporting responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following areas:
* Preparation and submission of month end results detailing expected performance for both the Bank and local ExCo teams
* Delivery of monthly reporting packs, outlining key financial performance metrics to Irish ExCo
* Business partner with senior stakeholders to create cost budgets, monitor actual spend and help to identify cost saving opportunities, efficiencies and potential risks
* Provide timely commentary and variance analysis to support understanding of financial performance against budgets, forecasts and prior year
* Draft investor reports relating to the entities securitisation programme
* Production of annual budget and periodic forecasts
* Partner with the operations / support functions, helping them to understand and control key cost drivers
* Support the Motor and Retail Operations Business Partner with cost reporting to enable them to assess the performance of the division
* Delivery of management accounts, outlining key financial performance metrics to the board members
* Work with key stakeholders and project managers to create business cases for proposed project / investment expenditure and subsequently track actual spend and benefit realisation
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF HAVE/ARE:
* A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
* Excellent attention to detail
* Proficient in technical aspects of accounting
* Advanced Excel skills
* Confident in working with senior stakeholders
* An engaging communication style and the ability to explain complex financial matters to non-finance colleagues
* Highly motivated with a pro-active attitude towards work
* Professional communication skills, both oral and written
* Demonstrated analytical skills
* Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure
* A track record of building good working relationships
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
* Excel modelling experience
* Experience of the Financial Services or Automotive sectors
