Hours: 37 hours per week
Responsibilities
* Assist the maintenance manager and maintenance supervisor in completing site maintenance functions, ensuring high plant availability and performance within approved budgets, and liaising with operations staff.
* Manage planned preventive maintenance, overhauls, and planned shutdown works within strict budgets in line with company policy and procedures.
* Utilise INFOR/SAP to implement planned preventive maintenance requirements.
* Maintain plant equipment—including high, medium, low voltage equipment, 415V motors, variable speed drives, switchgear, large rotating equipment, auxiliaries, material handling equipment, crane equipment, abatement equipment, and plant auxiliaries—through planned, breakdown, and overhaul work.
* Manage and control maintenance subcontractors in accordance with company policy and procedure.
* Lead automation projects from design through completion.
* Perform validation and calibration of site instrumentation.
* Develop and implement group maintenance strategic practices.
* Review plant defects, diagnose and remedy plant defects, and develop proposals for modifications where appropriate to maintain plant reliability and availability.
Required Skills
* Apprentice-trained engineer or technician, qualified in a relevant electrical, instrument, control & automation discipline, with extensive relevant experience considered.
* Strong knowledge of maintenance for a variety of plant and apparatus, with proven experience in power generation, preferably within an Energy from Waste environment.
* Sound knowledge, experience and understanding of electrical, instrument, control & automation engineering, pressure parts and statutory inspection regulations.
* Extensive practical experience in maintenance within a process industry, preferably in chemical, waste incineration or waste water/water environment.
* Practical experience in engineering and construction projects.
