Service Van driver
We are looking to recruit a new service van driver for our client to clean and maintain their portable toilets as well as work events during the week and at weekends in the Aldridge area.
Our service van driver is responsible for driving around set routes on a weekly basis and emptying, cleaning, and maintaining portable toilets. Most of the job involves driving but there is also the more physical aspect of emptying and cleaning the toilets to consider so a decent level of physical fitness is required.
All routes are pre planned so drivers are not expected to route their own jobs but we do require drivers who can navigate their way successfully around different areas.
You will be supported by a transport manager but most of the time you will be on your own and having to motivate yourself.
Event work will involve delivering and collecting, emptying & cleaning of various toilets, attendant work over weekends.
The successful candidates will possess the following attributes.
Full Uk Driving Licence
25 and over
2 years driving experience
Local to Aldridge
Flexible Attitude to work times and overtime hours
Customer Focused Attitude
Organised
Positive Attitude/Self Motivated
Adaptable to change
Good Navigational Skills
Considerate/Careful driving skills
Willing to work weekends and evenings
This role will also involve yard work
The job is a minimum of 40 hours per week, but we often have increased routes that mean drivers are regularly working up to 48 hours.
Experience is not necessary although previous multi drop driving experience would be looked on favourably.
We will provide the successful candidates with full on the job training before they start working unaccompanied.
Online H&S courses to also be completed

Rate is £12.21 per hour Monday - Friday
If working weekends its x1.5
£12.21ph to £18.32ph
Your hourly pay rate is £12.21, and you will accrue £1.47 per hour in holiday pay for every hour worked, which is banked and paid to you when you take annual leave. We do this to make sure our drivers are fairly paid and encouraged to take proper time off work as we believe regular rest is essential for safety and mental wellbeing of all workers.
