In this role, you will work alongside our registered nurses to deliver highquality, compassionate care to children and young people, based on their assessed needs and individual care plans.
This is a busy and varied position where teamwork is essential.
Youll help balance a range of tasks that can change throughout the day, ensuring our patients and their families feel supported and safe.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation and temperature
* Supporting children and young people throughout their stay in hospital
* Liaising sensitively and professionally with families
* Monitoring and recording food and fluid intake
* Communicating effectively and using deescalation techniques when needed
* Carrying out glucose monitoring
* Supporting young people experiencing mental health challenges
* Contributing to childrens safeguarding processes
* Providing supportive meal assistance for children and young people with eating disorders
* Accurately documenting all care and actions in patient notes
