You will have a strong background in teaching ICT and Media, with the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that cater to a range of abilities. Your approach will be inclusive and supportive, ensuring every student feels valued and motivated to succeed. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with our students, colleagues, and other stakeholders to drive student progression. A commitment to innovative teaching methods and continuous improvement will be essential, as will your ability to assess and monitor student progress effectively. You will be adaptable, proactive, and confident in creating a positive and structured learning environment. Your enthusiasm for ICT and Media and its role in shaping our students’ futures will be key in helping them build confidence and develop essential literacy skills. Your responsibilities In accordance with the contract of employment, the teacher will develop and foster the appropriate skills and strategies to enable the optimum academic and social development of pupils according to age, ability and aptitude and will: provide instruction in varying group sizes as prescribed by the school teach an additional subject or subjects as directed by the Head of School provide sympathetic support to encourage self-reliance, responsible behaviour and self-esteem undertake other duties as the Head of School may reasonably direct plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes plan and prepare schemes of work and lessons incorporating National Curriculum requirements adapted to the needs, abilities, and interests of the pupils in your class assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils promote good progress and outcomes by pupils demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests demonstrate highest professional and personal standards, and classroom management implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for ICT and Computing to students age 7 – 19, including Functional and eventually GCSE ICT and Media monitor and support the overall progress and development of students facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential contribute to maximizing of student attainment share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth. Professional development Provide training, practice and coaching so all staff become experts in teaching Maths. Attend relevant training courses and share new knowledge with colleagues.
