TuffX Processed Glass Ltd is a well-established and growing glass manufacturer based in Knowsley. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Credit Control Assistant to support our busy finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in credit control or accounts receivable who wants to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Management:
* Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers based on sales orders or contractual agreements
* Ensure timely delivery of invoices in line with agreed terms and pricing
Payment Collection & Customer Account Monitoring:
* Monitor customer accounts for overdue invoices and outstanding balances
* Proactively contact customers via phone and email to follow up on late payments
* Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with payment issues
Cash Allocation & Payment Processing:
* Process incoming payments via various methods (e.g., bank transfer, cheque, card)
* Allocate payments to correct customer accounts and reconcile against outstanding invoices
* Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting system
Dispute Resolution & Customer Service:
* Respond promptly to customer queries regarding invoices or payments
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner
* Work collaboratively with sales and finance teams to prevent recurring issues
Credit Risk Management:
* Assist in assessing customer creditworthiness and monitoring credit limits
* Support the processing of new customer credit applications in line with company policy
* Flag high-risk accounts or changes in payment behavior to management
Reporting & Month-End Support:
* Maintain detailed records of customer transactions and communications
* Prepare aged debtor and accounts receivable reports
* Assist in month-end closing by ensuring all AR data is accurate and up to date
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or similar finance role preferable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
* Strong IT skills
* Proactive, team-oriented, and professional approach
