I am looking to recruit for a Junior Merchandiser to join a leading retailer as part of their established merchandising team.
You will be responsible for maximising sales and profit to ensure the continued growth. As the Junior Merchandiser you will enjoy working in a busy and fast paced retail head office environment; some of your duties will include.
* Analysing sales reports and performance, taking ownership on decisions on potential risks and opportunities.
* Own and maintain department WSSI.
* Analyse flow lines and accurately order.
* Profit management.
* Assisting with stock and sales control for stores and web
* Working closely with the buying, QA and sourcing teams to ensure accurate critical path management.
* Assisting with sales forecasting
* General support with ad hoc commercial & merchandising projects
* Identifying over-stocks and opportunities to trade surplus stock
The ideal candidate will have good excel skills, enjoy working with numbers, have a keen interest in retail and can demonstrate a good understanding of a head office merchandising role additional key requirements for the role;
* Previous experience in retail Merchandising is essential
* Highly accurate with a good attention to detail
* Ability to manage a varied workload with conflicting deadlines
* High commercial awareness
* Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse data
* Good working knowledge of MS Office products specifically Excel
