Job Description
Are you ready to be the problem-solving powerhouse behind cutting-edge technology, driving innovation, and ensuring seamless operations as a Support Engineer?
As part of our Digital & Data team, you’ll work alongside colleagues from across PA to ensure processes and practices are put in place to enhance our clients' applications and systems, ensuring they can perform their daily work on optimized systems while continuously improving the service, including implementing changes to reduce/prevent issues, automate processes, and improve overall service stability.
The role sits within Digital Operations, one of our fastest-growing capabilities, providing live operational support to our clients. As a Digital Operations Support Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and fixing bugs within defined time frames according to SLAs; identifying and implementing features that ensure continuous improvement of client applications.
You will work alongside colleagues on L1 and L2 teams or as part of a dedicated L3 support team in larger multi-supplier settings.
Qualifications
We are looking for Engineers highly skilled in Java, capable of problem identification and solution development; implementing new features and continually improving client applications. Relevant skills and experience include:
* Root cause analysis and troubleshooting solutions
* Identifying efficiency improvements from manual actions to automated processes
* Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana & Kibana
* Technical skills across MVC, JDBC, RESTful, and Java ecosystem libraries
* Building tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle
* Proficiency with SQL, Unix, CLI tools, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, HTML, and CSS
* Experience with databases (relational and NoSQL) such as MongoDB, MySQL, Cassandra, SQL Server, Postgres
* Experience transitioning services from development to live support
* Ability to work under pressure, assess risk, and communicate effectively with clients and teams
