Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a flair for creating delicious dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety while fostering a positive and productive kitchen environment.
Duties
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications.
* Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring effective teamwork and communication to deliver exceptional service.
* Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency and adhere to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends and guest preferences.
* Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
* Assist in managing kitchen budgets by minimising waste and optimising resource use.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Exceptional knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and service.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
