A multi-award-winning developer has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Aberdeen.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the QS will be responsible for delivering the best quality projects across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire at the best possible cost.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
* Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works
* Subcontract procurement, agreement, payment and award
* Contract administration and cost control
* Attending and contributing to commercial / operations meetings as required
* Preparing valuations, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued
* Re-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawings
* Managing contract variations with sub-contractors
* Dealing with contractual issues from a commercial perspective
* Assisting with reporting on contract performance via monthly cost / value reconciliations
* Assisting with and agreeing client and sub-contract final accounts

Application Requirements
The successful applicant will currently be in a Quantity Surveyor role or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career. It is beneficial for applicants to have experience within a housing developer but it's not essential. PQS, or QS from other sectors such as civils or a general building contractor are also encouraged to apply. Applicants should hold a HND / BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, accurate numeracy skills and a methodical approach to working and excellent written and verbal communication skills
