We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, and providing insight to help the business achieve its strategic objectives. With ongoing site growth, the role offers exposure to a range of exciting commercial and capital projects 🚀.
You will work closely with the Finance Director and wider finance team to produce high-quality management information, forecasts, and analysis that support informed decision-making.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
* Complete key elements of recurring month-end and year-end close processes 📅
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets, prepayments, and liabilities 🧾
* Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheet reports 📊
* Analyse cost centre budgets, including MI on headcount and utility trends, providing meaningful insights to management 💡
* Manage essential internal processes such as new project and capital expenditure requests 🏗️
* Support the Finance Director with capex assessments and ROI evaluations 📈
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting through data gathering, trend analysis, and business partnering with site management 🤝
* Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and information ✔️
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations ⚖️

🎓 Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) 🎓
* Experience working within a finance team to deliver month-end close processes
* Strong background in balance sheet reconciliations and internal financial reporting
