Overview
EMBS Engineering is partnering with a well-established precision engineering company in Birmingham, seeking a Production Supervisor on a permanent basis. The company specialises in machining small, sub-assembly components for aerospace clients. DBS checks will be required; UK residency is required and visa sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain the production order book, ensuring accurate scheduling and prioritisation
* Liaise with customers to understand and align with delivery requirements
* Translate customer forecasts into efficient production schedules
* Track progress of work orders, update schedules, and resolve bottlenecks proactively
* Expedite jobs across departments, communicating priorities effectively
* Input and maintain accurate production data (manual spreadsheets pre-ERP)
* Support the rollout of Efacs ERP, helping to implement best practice and data accuracy
* Work closely with production, purchasing, and quality to ensure seamless workflow
* Drive on-time delivery, production visibility, and continuous improvement
Requirements
* Experienced in production supervision, scheduling, or expediting within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of machining and manufacturing processes
* Highly organised, analytical, and confident with spreadsheets/manual planning tools
* Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (Efacs experience an advantage)
* Excellent communicator, able to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
* Proactive, adaptable, and focused on achieving results
