Working for my client an established social housing contractor. Role summary: Management accountant role reports directly into business director and aims to provide financial insight to support management decisions in the form of monthly management accounts, KPI reports and ad hoc analysis as and when required. Key Duties: Management accounts production – posting of journal entries and production of monthly WIP schedule to support monthly MA production. Maintenance of fixed asset register. Balance sheet reconciliations. Overseeing payroll function & responsibility for monthly salary payment. Monitoring of daily cashflow forecast. Weekly payment runs to suppliers & sub-contractors. Lead role in statutory audit for trading company. Quarterly VAT returns. Production of monthly management report. Weekly WIP monitoring & reporting. Ad hoc analysis & tasks as required – i.e. customer profitability reviews, ONS returns, CITB levy submissions etc. Key Skills: Fully qualified or working towards accounting qualification.
