Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Female Support Worker to join our amazing team, supporting four lovely ladies in their home in Armadale. These ladies love: Shopping, Listening to music, Arts & crafts. Meeting new people at local clubs and groups Your role? Helping them live their best lives! Support with mobility (experience with hoists and walkers is a bonus!) Assist with some personal care. Administer medication. What we’re looking for: A caring, positive attitude and willingness to learn. Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act. Community Integrated Care operates a centralised on-call system so there are no on-call duties required within this role. This post is a permanent role for 37.5 hours per week working from Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. With experience working in a health or social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.
You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.
In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area. You will also hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England).
