Performance Objectives
Within the first 30 days, understand department procedures, systems, and policies, and how the Accounting department fits within the TMHCC Specialty structure. Engage with the team and familiarize yourself with our clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
Within the first 60 days, you will:
* Learn our accounting software, PeopleSoft, and policy system, IBM iSeries.
* Review and approve employee expense reports, select month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and bank transactions.
* Assist with accounting for new derivative ventures, lease accounting, policy implementation, budgeting, audits, and daily operations.
* Perform income statement analysis and research variances.
Within 90 days, you will:
* Work independently, meet deadlines, and handle challenges.
* Contribute to reducing month-end close timelines.
* Suggest process improvements, including automation and reporting enhancements.
Your Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years in leadership.
* CPA preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerBI; experience with enterprise software like PeopleSoft is a plus.
* Excellent communication, confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy skills.
* Strong organizational and analytical abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks.
