Overview
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. A driver is essential for this role. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life. You will be supporting one older gentleman in his own home. Daily activities can include going out for a drive, completing shopping, going for walks, helping the person we support bake at home, or having a relaxing day!
What we're looking for:
Responsibilities
* Support daily activities and provide emotional support to an individual with learning disabilities.
* Accompany and assist with outings, shopping, walks, and in-home activities (e.g., baking).
* Support independence while ensuring safety and wellbeing in the home environment.
Qualifications & Personal Qualities
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options
* Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
* Shift times: Days between 07:30/08:30 and 21:30/22:30; split shifts finishing at 16:00 or starting at 16:00. All services are 24-hour care.
* Rotas prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life.
