Job Description:
Track N&V Specialist (Noise and Vibration design specialist for rail systems)
Reports to: Track Design Lead/Director
Location: London Office and Buckinghamshire
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and coordinate the acoustic design development and control of noise and vibration throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders.
2. Responsible for N&V design aspects for a high-speed track contract, including mitigation of ground-borne N&V and compliance with environmental standards.
3. Coordinate with other design disciplines and stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
4. Lead N&V design efforts and attend coordination meetings.
5. Support the client in identifying changes, risks, and opportunities for efficiency.
6. Assist in optimization studies and liaise with various project teams.
7. Coordinate with construction teams to manage N&V issues, including selection of compliant track elements.
8. Provide technical input for commercial communications and close out N&V issues promptly.
9. Review monitoring reports and support technical assurance during design, construction, and handover.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Membership of the Institute of Acoustics or equivalent.
2. Degree or postgraduate qualification in acoustics or relevant experience.
3. Experience managing noise and vibration on major projects.
4. Understanding of environmental impact assessments and legislation.
5. Experience liaising with third parties and contractors.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Focus on sustainability, innovation, and efficiency.
