An exciting opportunity has arisen at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital for a compassionate, dynamic nurse.
We are looking for someone who is eager and keen to facilitate a seamless service to patients.
The Cardiac Cath lab at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital is a busy department with patients undergoing treatments such as: Angiograms, PCIs, Pacemakers, and Loop Implants. Although predominantly based at Grimsby, some cross-site work to cover our services may be required.
We have a close working relationship with radiographers, cardiac physiologists, and consultants.
The role is vital in supporting the cardiac manager to ensure high standards of care are maintained. The successful candidate will be service-driven with the desire to improve services to our patients, whilst leading a team with positivity. They will be punctual, reliable, flexible, and honest.
The cath lab practitioner will be working within the cardiac cath lab assisting with cardiology procedures on both inpatients and outpatients. The individual will be expected to work as part of the team and deputise in all areas, clinical and managerial, in the absence of the cath lab manager.
The post holder will be required to work as a scrub practitioner, circulating practitioner, and also recover patients post-procedure. They will assist with the day-to-day running of the cath lab and escalate any issues to the cath lab manager. The cath lab is a fast-paced environment, so the ability to work quickly under pressure is vital. As x-ray use is involved, wearing a lead apron is essential.
This post is primarily based in both Grimsby and Scunthorpe Cath Labs, with some cross-site work to cover services, including Hull University Teaching Hospitals.
The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest NHS partnerships, serving over one million patients annually with a budget of over £1.3 billion. We employ nearly 20,000 staff across five main hospital sites: Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital, Goole and District Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary, and Castle Hill Hospital. As teaching hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we lead and contribute to research across various fields including biomedical, primary care, palliative, cardiovascular, respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery, and oncology.
We believe that developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled, and caring workforce will enable us to deliver excellent patient care and a bright future for our employees, partnership, and community.
