Our client, a high-achieving secondary school in the Amersham area, is looking for a Data Manager & Examinations Officer to join their dynamic team. This is a vital role within the school, offering the opportunity to work at the heart of its assessment and performance systems. You’ll be responsible for managing the entire examinations process (internal and external), while also leading on the collection, analysis, and reporting of key student data to support academic performance and school improvement. About the Role: Reporting directly to the Associate Deputy Headteacher, this dual-purpose role covers both data management and exams administration. You will: As Data Manager: Oversee the school's MIS (SIMS), ensuring accurate and timely data entry and reporting Collate, analyse and report on student progress and performance using systems like SISRA Support staff with data interpretation for intervention and strategic planning Ensure data returns to the Local Authority and DfE are accurate and completed on time Import and process key stage data and support school census returns Train and support staff in using SIMS and data systems As Examinations Officer: Manage all internal and external examinations, ensuring full compliance with JCQ regulations Liaise with exam boards and handle exam entries, coursework submissions, and results processing Recruit, train and manage a team of Exam Invigilators Coordinate with SEN staff to implement access arrangements Securely manage all exam materials and results dissemination Oversee post-results services (e.g. reviews of marking, access to scripts) Candidate Profile: We’re looking for someone highly organised, calm under pressure, and committed to excellence in both data management and exam administration. Essential Skills & Experience: Strong ICT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel Experience working to tight deadlines Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Experience in an education setting (preferred but not essential) Willingness to develop skills in third-party data tools (e.g., SISRA) Desirable: Experience managing or supporting public examinations Familiarity with SIMS and school data systems Understanding of JCQ regulations Why Join This School?
