Commissioning Specialist - OFFSHORE TRIP FROM 04-13/03/26 (9 DAYS) WITH POSSIBILITY OF ADDITIONAL TRIPS
Position Summary
1. Accountable for expediting the safe and timely preparation and execution of the Project Commissioning work scopes, in adherence with Project HSEQ safety requirements, procedures and practices.
2. Accountable for the development and ongoing management of the Commissioning vendor teams and interfacing with other Project departmental Managers, the Client and Vendors / Sub-contractors.
3. Accountable for ensuring all Commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with Project / Company procedures in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
4. Accountable for developing and approving Commissioning strategy and procedures.
5. Accountable for delivering all Commissioning activities in accordance with the Project schedule / budget and ensuring high standards are maintained and continuously improved.
Primary Responsibilities
6. Ensure all Project / Company HSEQ goals are achieved and where possible exceeded.
7. Ensure all Commissioning personnel are aware of and implement safe working practices / procedures and are provided with a safe working environment.
8. Manage, support and develop Commissioning personnel.
9. Effective liaison with any Client / Vendor / Sub-contractor representative.
10. Deliver a high standard Commissioning capability at both Project and Corporate levels, ensuring a consistent and efficient approach is implemented at all times.
11. Implement a continuous improvement philosophy across all Commissioning activities, delivering best practices at all times.
12. Maintain and deliver Commissioning activities within budget, and where applicable implement cost saving initiatives.
13. Ensure a safe and effective Permit to Work system is in place and maintained for all Commissioning activities.
Qualifications & Experience
14. Minimum HNC in an Engineering related subject or Trade Apprenticeship with appropriate Technical Qualification.
15. Recognised Site discipline background.
16. Fully conversant with Project Management Systems with extensive knowledge of Project Construction practices and procedures.
17. IT Literate with experience in management databases.
18. BOSIET / Approved Offshore Medical / CA EBS / MIST / Onshore Safety Passport
19. Experience in a C&I Commissioning capacity as well as have experience on managing offshore vendors.
20. Experienced in the production of detailed procedures / documents / reports.
21. Experienced in the management of personnel and all aspects of team working.
22. Extensive knowledge of O&G related HSEQ safe working practices / procedures.
23. Able to deliver training to personnel within the Commissioning teams - commitment to develop team members.
24. Able to interface and interact with Management and Client representatives at all levels.
25. Detailed understanding of modern planning systems and their use in the execution of Commissioning as well as Project work scopes.
26. Detailed knowledge of the Commissioning process and associated systems.
27. Detailed knowledge of Permit to Work systems.
