We are working on behalf of a progressive, design:led planning and urban design consultancy to recruit a Town Planner for their growing Cardiff team. This practice is known for its collaborative culture, strong design ethos and involvement in high:quality projects across Wales and the UK.

The Role
You will play an active role in the delivery of a varied workload, supporting and leading on planning applications from early:stage feasibility through to determination. Projects span residential, mixed:use, regeneration and placemaking:led developments.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Managing and contributing to planning applications and pre:applications
* Preparing Planning Statements, supporting documents and policy appraisals
* Undertaking site appraisals and development feasibility work
* Liaising with local planning authorities, clients and multidisciplinary consultant teams
* Supporting junior team members where appropriate
About You
The successful candidate is likely to have:
* Experience working in town planning, ideally within consultancy or local authority
* A strong understanding of the Welsh planning system
* A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
* Progress towards, or membership of, MRTPI (preferred but not essential)
* Strong written, analytical and interpersonal skills
