Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our renowned Italian restaurant. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a passion for Italian cuisine, and a strong understanding of wine, alongside proficiency in using Procure Wizard for inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all restaurant operations including staff management, inventory, guest services, and financial performance.
* Lead, train, and mentor a team of front-of-house and back-of-house employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Manage restaurant budgets, track expenses, and maximize profitability while maintaining high standards of quality.
* Ensure the restaurant meets health and safety standards and complies with all local regulations.
* Maintain an exceptional level of customer service and resolve any guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
* Oversee daily food and beverage service, ensuring quality and consistency.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to update the menu, create special promotions, and ensure that all ingredients are of the highest quality.
* Use Procure Wizard software to manage inventory, track orders, and ensure optimal stock levels.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive foot traffic and increase revenue.
* Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely deliveries and high-quality products.
* Be knowledgeable about wine and assist with wine selection, pairing recommendations, and managing wine inventory.
* Handle all administrative duties including payroll, scheduling, and financial reporting.
* Monitor and improve restaurant operations through performance reviews and feedback.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant, preferably in Italian cuisine.
* Strong knowledge and passion for Italian cuisine and wine, with the ability to offer wine pairings and recommendations.
* Proficiency in using Procure Wizard software for inventory management, procurement, and ordering processes.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong financial acumen, including the ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and drive profitability.
* Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating an outstanding dining experience.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and restaurant industry best practices.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Fluency in Italian is a plus but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification or training in wine, such as Sommelier certification.
* Experience with financial software and POS systems.
* Experience with social media marketing and restaurant promotions.
