Exciting Opportunity for the right candidate to join RG Group as a Assistant Construction Planner. This role presents an excellent opportunity to join our Pre-Construction team on a permanent basis. The role supports Design & Build projects across commercial, high-rise, retail, and industrial sectors, with a focus on tender-stage and early PCSA project planning.
You will work closely with Preconstruction /Planning Manager bid, and construction teams to develop integrated programmes and logistics plans that support successful bids and negotiations with our clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planner at early career stage to develop within a supportive, forward-thinking business delivering Design & Build projects across commercial, high-rise, retail and industrial sectors.
The Role
Working closely with our Pre-Construction, Planning and Construction teams, you will support the development of integrated tender and construction programmes, logistics strategies and planning documentation that underpin successful bids and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing tender and pre-construction programmes
• Support design development and information release schedules
• Assist with procurement sequencing and package coordination
• Contribute to construction methodologies, phasing and logistics planning
• Prepare planning narratives and support bid submissions
• Assist with baseline programmes post-award and early mobilisation planning
• Support live project teams with progress updates and reporting
About You
• HNC (or above) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar
• Experience or interest in Design & Build procurement
• Working knowledge of Asta Powerproject or MS Project
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and coordination skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration
Full UK driving licence
