Maintenance Engineer

We are committed to delivering the highest standard of care and ensuring the well-being and happiness of our residents. As part of our dedication to excellence, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
The successful applicant will:
* Ensure all minor repairs and audit requirements are fixed in a timely manner.
* Guarantee adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements and to the company policies and procedures.
* Carry out all required tests and checks for various systems of the home on weekly, monthly, annual basis.
* Be responsible for the looking after of the Care Home and carry out planned maintenance of the Home (painting, plumbing, minor refurbishments, etc) and able to assemble or install new equipment delivered to the Home.
* Be responsible for the maintenance of the home’s surrounding grounds (make sure pathways and driveways are uncluttered open and safe, plants of every type are tendered and hydrated)
* Make certain that lights and signs, internal and external, are in good shape, clear and evident.
* Liaise with contractors ensuring all work undertaken complies with site Health and Safety rules.
* Create and adhere to budgets.
* Carry out critical checks identifying and reporting all maintenance defects and problems.
* Confirm and maintain the operability of heating, lighting, plumbing and all non-medical equipment required for the safe and efficient operation of the Home.

And, whether you are helping someone with limited mobility to learn to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident or delivering care to someone at the end of their life, you will always have their well-being in mind above anything else.
