Quality Document Controller
£28,000 – £34,000 per annum
We’re looking for a Quality Document Controller to join a well-established manufacturing organisation working within a highly regulated sector. This is a key administrative position within the Quality team, focused on document management, change control, and data accuracy across quality systems.
If you're highly organised, detail-focused, and have experience supporting compliance and documentation in a structured environment, this could be a great opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the control and flow of quality documentation, ensuring records are accurate, compliant, and maintained in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory expectations.
Manage document updates related to Bills of Materials (BOMs) and part changes — ensuring correct change requests are submitted, reviewed, and approved by the appropriate stakeholders.
Ensure Good Documentation Practice (GDP) is upheld across all quality records, forms, and submissions.
Input and maintain records relating to Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), supporting the investigation process from an administrative perspective.
Support the document aspects of product release by reviewing and processing batch records, ensuring completeness and compliance prior to sign-off.
Maintain the company’s electronic training system, keeping training records up to date and flagging overdue or incomplete training where needed.
Assist teams across operations, manufacturing, and design with change control processes and documentation requirements.
Help generate reports to track quality metrics, system performance, and process adherence.
Contribute to internal training and awareness activities related to documentation and quality system requirements.
Support process improvements to increase documentation efficiency and reliability while maintaining full compliance.
Experience/skills:
At least 1 year’s experience in a document control, quality administration, or compliance support role within a regulated industry (e.g. pharmaceutical, aerospace, automotive, etc.).
Familiarity with change control processes and documentation associated with parts, materials, or production workflows.
Experience with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and maintaining controlled records.
Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using ERP/MRP or quality management systems.
Strong attention to detail — accuracy is critical in this role.
Able to follow structured processes, prioritise tasks, and manage documentation across multiple systems.
Comfortable working as part of a collaborative quality team with clear communication and high standards.

Hybrid working: typically 3 days in the office, 2 from home
Annual performance-related bonus
High rate company pension contribution
Life assurance (4x salary)
Private health insurance
Dental cover through BUPA
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
