* £14.23 per hour
* 12-18 hours per week
* Shifts: Wednesday & Thursday (7:00am - 1:00pm) plus alternate Fridays (7:00am - 1:00pm)
* Free staff car parking on site
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare 400-600 meals daily to a high standard and on schedule
* Ensure all food is produced in line with HACCP and Sodexo guidelines, with accurate record keeping
* Provide efficient and friendly service to customers during meal times
* Maintain kitchen and service areas to the highest hygiene standards, completing all required documentation
* Support the Chef Manager with buffets, functions, stock control and ordering
* Assist with food preparation in the Grab & Go unit and Walmer House as required
* Report incidents or customer feedback promptly, ensuring documentation is completed
* Contribute to the training and development of junior catering team members
* Play a key role in the smooth running of the catering operation
About You
* Proven experience in a high-volume catering environment
* Strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure
* Passionate about food and customer service
* Supervising Food Safely Level 3 qualification (essential)
* IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification (desirable)
* Previous Lead Chef, Sous Chef or production kitchen experience
* Knowledge of contract catering and staff training desirable
* Professional appearance with a strong focus on hygiene
