Key Responsibilities
* Customer Service:Greet customers, provide information on non-prescription products, and offer guidance on health-related items.
* Sales:Sell over-the-counter medicines and other pharmacy goods, operating the cash register or payment system.
* Inventory Management:Receive deliveries, check and stock incoming orders, maintain stock levels on shelves, and place orders for replacement medication as directed.
* Prescription Processing:Take prescription orders, prepare them for the pharmacist to fulfill, and create labels for dispensed medications.
* Clerical Duties:Answer telephone calls, manage patient data on computer systems, and prepare billing information.
* Pharmacy Operations:Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and assist the pharmacist in the smooth running of the pharmacy.
* Referral:Refer customers to the pharmacist or technician for medical advice or when a prescription needs to be fulfilled.
