A private household based in Central London, Notting Hill, is seeking a highly professional, educated and engaging male English Tutor / Companion for a gentleman looking to improve his spoken and written English in a relaxed yet structured environment.
This is a long-term, live-out position suited to a native English speaker currently based in the UK, ideally with previous tutoring, coaching, mentoring or educational experience working with adults or UHNW individuals.
The role will initially require approximately 3–4 working hours per day, with the possibility of increasing to a fuller schedule over time as the gentleman’s English progresses and confidence develops. The position is offered on a full-time salaried basis despite the reduced initial hours.
Duties include:
* Providing structured and conversational English language support
* Improving pronunciation, vocabulary, fluency and confidence
* Assisting with day‑to‑day communication and social English
* Encouraging natural conversation in a professional and engaging manner
* Creating a comfortable, motivating and respectful learning environment
* Adapting lessons and communication style to the client’s progress and goals
* Potential accompaniment during outings or social settings where English practice is beneficial
Candidate requirements:
* Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring or coaching experience preferred
* Educated, articulate and culturally aware
* Professional, discreet and emotionally intelligent
* Calm, patient and engaging personality
* Well‑presented with excellent communication skills
* Flexible and adaptable approach
* Approximately 3–4 hours daily initially
