Your Role
If you are a consultant with excellent experience in undertaking whole life carbon assessments, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Sustainability and Climate Change team.
This role will be client-facing, and the individual should be confident in leading projects and providing client advice. You will work with our Energy & Carbon Consultants and Analysts to help clients decarbonise their businesses and reduce environmental impacts, supporting their transition to net zero through strategic energy and carbon reduction programs.
Responsibilities
* Analyze energy data from fuel and utility bills
* Estimate energy savings and costs
* Conduct cost-benefit analysis
* Develop engineering models from first principles
* Create mass and energy balances
* Write technical reports
* Utilize Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
* Analyze utilities such as boilers, chillers, CHP, and other large-scale utilities
* Assess building management systems including HVAC and BMS
* Research renewable energy technologies and assess their suitability for clients
* Present concepts, findings, and proposals to internal and external audiences
* Liaise with suppliers to understand technology capabilities, limitations, costs, and subsidies
Candidate Profile
* Relevant degree and/or master's in Sustainability, Environment, or related field
* Experience in developing and contributing to bids and managing projects
* Strong research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills
* Ability to foster good working relationships and manage projects with small teams
