Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Description:
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor who has a National Highways division delivering various projects from Frameworks through to major projects. With this role being a mentor / Assurance based role, managing Quantity Surveyors that work on the projects on a day to day basis. This role is supporting the Quantity Surveyors, supporting them with skill gaps, checking the accounts and ensuring that the work is undertaken correctly. Managing several small Schemes and one large multi-million project Day to day duties will vary but could include:
1. Managing a small team of Quantity Surveyors delivering live Highway schemes.
2. Oversee the detailed bills of quantities and cost breakdowns.
3. Monitor project costs against your package of works.
4. Support with the management of the sub-contractor costs and payments.
5. Report and Manage variations, claims, and other contractual issues that may arise.
6. Mentor and manage the quantity surveyors, looking at the leadership and training aspects.
7. Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships both internally and with external sub-contractors.
This role is office based 3 days a week, then 2 days a week from home as you need to be around your Quantity Surveyors. Face to face support and mentoring is key when managing and developing your team.
Job Requirement
Qualifications / Experience
8. Degree qualified – Ideally in Quantity Surveying
9. Experienced Quantity Surveyor with proven ability in developing more junior members of staff.
10. Full driving licence
