Third Party Property Damage (TPPD) Handler

Working Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30.
Training
The core training lasts for the first 4 weeks of your role and is completed virtually.
Hybrid Working
With hybrid working, you have more flexibility, as you usually only have to visit our office once a week and work remotely for the rest of the time. You can always opt to work from the office more frequently if that suits you better. When we organise training and events you may be required to attend in person for the duration.
Salary
The starting salary is £28,800 plus benefits.
Location
Our fantastic Bexhill office, which is next to the seafront, and only a short walk from Collington station.
Your Role
As a Third-Party Property Damage Claims Handler, you’ll play a crucial role in our claims team, responsible for investigating and resolving third-party property damage claims. You’ll utilise your expertise in liability assessments and negotiations to ensure fair and accurate settlements while maintaining excellent customer service.

What You Will Be Doing
You will manage both inbound and outbound calls guiding customers through liability queries with professionalism, clarity and care. Liaise with external parties, such as claimants, solicitors, and other insurance companies, to negotiate and settle claims. Analyse policy documentation to determine coverage and applicability. Evaluate liability and quantum to determine accurate settlement amounts. Manage a caseload of claims while ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and share knowledge for continuous improvement. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of claims activities using the company’s systems. Ability to overcome customer objections and drive a positive resolution through excellent communication skills (questioning and listening).
Computer skills: You will confidently use computer systems to record, track and manage liability cases with accuracy and efficiency.
