Job Title: Specialist Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist Banding: Band 6 or Band 7 (depending on experience) Department: Children’s Therapies – Community Location: Green Wrythe Lane, Epsom & St Helier Contract Type: Locum Working Pattern: Monday–Friday Job Overview Pulse is recruiting an experienced Specialist Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist to join the Children’s Community Therapy Service based at Green Wrythe Lane, within the Epsom & St Helier service. This role is ideal for clinicians with strong paediatric experience, particularly in dysphagia, complex communication needs, and AAC. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high‑quality assessment and intervention for children with a wide range of developmental and complex needs across community clinics, homes, and educational settings. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist assessment and intervention for children with: – Dysphagia – Complex communication needs – AAC requirements Manage a varied paediatric caseload across community settings Work collaboratively with families, schools, and MDT colleagues Contribute to service development and pathway improvement Provide supervision and support to junior SLTs and assistants Maintain accurate, high‑quality clinical documentation Requirements HCPC‑registered Speech & Language Therapist Strong paediatric clinical experience Skills in dysphagia, complex needs, and/or AAC Ability to work independently within a community setting Excellent communication and MDT collaboration skills Experience supervising junior staff (desirable) Why Pulse?
