The Role
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will support a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors. Your duties will include:
* Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
* Supporting VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts when required
* Liaising directly with clients to obtain information, resolve queries, and build strong working relationships
* Working closely with senior team members to ensure deadlines are met and work is delivered to high professional standards
* Progressing steadily toward qualification with the firm's support
About You
You’ll be a strong fit for this role if you are:
* ACCA or ACA part-qualified, ideally close to completing your qualification
* Experienced within a UK accountancy practice (minimum 3 years)
* Confident preparing accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision
* Familiar with cloud accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage your own workload
* A strong communicator who enjoys client-facing responsibilities
