Murray Royal Hospital, Perth
You will be part of an integrated community substance use service based within the grounds of Murray Royal Hospital within Perth and Kinross.
You will work within an identified area within Perth and Kinross but also offer support to colleagues in their absence.
You will contribute to the overall team plan and ensure you keep up to date with learning and training to ensure you keep our registration up to date.
You will be based within the Birnam Building on the grounds of the Murray Royal Hospital but will be required to hold a UK driving licence to cover different community areas.
Skills & Experience Required
You will be required to build meaningful, honest, compassionate relationships with people who present with complex needs and often past traumatic experiences.
You will have the skills, the knowledge and experience to work in this demanding environment, along with a professional qualification in Social Work.
You will need to be confident in being able to identify people who are at risk of harm and what legislation would be appropriate to manage these risks.
You will be confident in carrying out assessments to identify the needs of the person and those who may support that person.
You will actively pursue learning to enhance your skill and knowledge and take the lead when required to ensure the best support is offered to the person in recovery.
You will be required to be able to identify child protection risks and work with families in a whole family way to ensure they have the best opportunities to strive.
The person appointed must be able to work autonomously and have good report writing and IT Skills.
The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team and support the integration of professionals within the team.
There is a need to use good listening skills and be able to discuss when appropriate situations that cause you concern with your supervisor.
You must have a Degree / Professional Qualification in Social Work.
This role requires you to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
