I am currently assisting one of my excellent clients in their search for a Shipping Coordinator, to work in a fast-paced role for a company who are going through an exciting period of growth. This position is an excellent opportunity with a company that value and reward their employees.
The Role
This role offers progression, due to the constant growth and will include the following duties on a day-to-day basis:
* Act as the primary liaison with carriers and logistics providers, handling service queries, rate negotiations, and relationship management.
* Coordinate and manage daily outbound shipments, both domestic and international, working with parcel carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
* Prepare, review, and maintain all essential shipping documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, certificates, and customs declarations) to ensure compliance and smooth cross-border movement.
* Monitor shipments proactively, provide timely updates to internal teams, and address any delays, exceptions, or disruptions as they arise.
* Collaborate with overseas teams and manufacturing partners to schedule collections, verify order accuracy, and support efficient fulfilment processes.
* Review freight invoices, track logistics costs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
* Investigate and resolve shipping-related issues such as delays, damages, or customs clearance challenges, maintaining a solution-focused approach.
* Maintain accurate shipping records and data across internal systems and customer platforms.
The Candidate
This role is ideal for a candidate who has over 3 years' experience in a Shipping related role. Our client is looking for someone who is ambitious and wants to progress this role further as the existing business develops.
Knowledge of shipping software and strong Excel skills would be needed for this role.
Any experience with FOB would be a benefit but isn't essential.
