Our client is an established M&E design consultancy specialising in sustainable engineering solutions across the UK., with a diverse client base spanning multiple sectors, including local authority, education, healthcare, commercial, industrial, and residential projects
Due to continued growth—despite challenging market conditions—they are seeking a Junior / Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join an expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to develop a long-term career, through in house training and project exposure within a well-established and respected building services consultancy.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting and managing a range of electrical design activities within our quality management system. Typical responsibilities include:
* Attending client and design team meetings
* Undertaking site surveys
* Producing concept and detailed designs
* Carrying out calculations using industry-standard software
* Preparing technical reports and specifications
* Producing and reviewing drawings
* Supporting on site monitoring and project delivery
About You
You are a forward-thinking Electrical Engineer at Junior or Intermediate level, ideally qualified to HND or Degree level. You have some of experience producing designs in line with UK standards and are keen to further develop your technical and professional skills.
* Relevant HNC or above
* Knowledge of relevant software. Relux, Amtech
* Experienced in AutoCad
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, Word, Excel and Power Point
* Good oral and written communications
* Strong team player with ability to work independently
* Project smart & professional image at all times
* Reliable & prompt
* Willingness to learn
* Self-motivated and highly organized with a keen ability to prioritize with a common sense approach
* Positive, upbeat attitude
* Full driving licence
* Knowledge of relevant software packages
This role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle and a variety of sectors.
The role is based at Chichester office. They embrace flexible working and offer a hybrid approach combining office and home working
