Role Title: ITOM Architect Duration: contract to run until 30/09/2025 Location: Wiltshire, Hybrid, 90% working from home Rate: up to £662.40 p/d Umbrella inside IR35 Clearance required: Due to the nature of the client, you must be a Sole UK National and have Active SC Clearance Role purpose / summary We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Technical Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of ServiceNow Discovery and HAM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Operations, asset management, and integration strategies, with the ability to bridge technical solutions and business needs. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise in ServiceNow ITOM Discovery and through understanding of the HAM lifecycle. Key Skills/ requirements Develop and Implement Discovery Design and configure ServiceNow Discovery processes for accurate infrastructure mapping. Ensure discovery schedules, probes, and sensors are aligned with enterprise needs. Analyse Results and Recommended Improvements Interpret discovery data to identify coverage gaps, misconfigurations, and optimisation opportunities. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance the overall ITOM tooling and HAM maturity. Conduct Tooling and Integration Analysis Perform gap analysis between current ITOM tooling and ServiceNow capabilities. Define where ServiceNow Discovery fits within the existing ecosystem, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum value. Discovery-Driven HAM Integration Use Discovery to enhance and automate asset lifecycle processes, including inventory validation and asset reconciliation. Drive accurate asset data population to support compliance, audits, and lifecycle management. Stakeholder Engagement Attend client workshops to understand business and technical requirements. Translate client needs into ServiceNow configurations and architectural designs. Advise stakeholders on best practices and roadmaps for ITOM and HAM implementation. Required Skills and Experience Proven experience as a ServiceNow Technical Architect with focus on ITOM and HAM Strong hands on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB and Hardware Asset Management. In depth understanding of the hardware asset lifecycle and how Discovery contributes to asset accuracy. Knowledge of MID Servers, network protocols, and cloud discovery methods. Ability to conduct technical assessments and produce detailed solution architectures. Familiarity with integrations between ServiceNow and third party ITOM tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience facilitating workshops and presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience in large scale enterprise environments or complex transformation projects Preferred Qualifications CIS - Discovery CIS - HAM ITIL V3 or V4 certificate All profiles will be reviewed against the required skills and experience.
