Offering a Workclub during the week which supports businesses and their employees, and a high end event space in the evenings and weekends, we maximize the yield of the 22,000 sqft Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell.
Knotel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Events to lead the sales and planning of events at the prestigious Old Sessions House in London. The Head of Events will be responsible for creating exceptional experiences that align with Knotel's brand and vision, ensuring seamless event operations, and maximizing client satisfaction. This role includes owning all sales processes, reporting, managing event coordinators, and overseeing all aspects of events.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Sales
* Own and oversee the entire sales process for events, including support with conducting tours, managing communications, and converting leads into confirmed bookings while looking to elevate and streamline the process where applicable.
* Coach and develop your direct team in delivering a seamless event sales process to potential clients to drive accountability.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new clients and increase bookings across industries such as corporate (team offsites, conferences), lifestyle (weddings, private celebrations), media and production (photoshoots, film locations), and creative sectors (art exhibitions, product launches).
* Maintain a comprehensive database of potential clients and follow up on leads within an agreed SLA.
Team Management and Leadership:
* Lead and manage a team of event coordinators, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities.
* Ensure that the event coordinators are effectively managing their responsibilities and delivering high-quality service to clients which is indicative of the premium Workclub brand.
* Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to maintain a high standard of service delivery.
Reporting and Financials:
* Accountable in delivering annual events targets set by the company through driving team strategy to achieve revenue including venue hire in both recurring and one-off line items.
* Monitor and report on event performance, including sales metrics, client feedback, CRM, and financial outcomes.
* Prepare detailed event reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Event Operations and Management:
* Take ownership of all events, ensuring that each one is executed seamlessly and to the highest standard.
* Oversee all aspects of event execution, including setup, coordination, and teardown, ensuring a smooth guest experience.
* Address any issues or challenges that arise during events promptly and professionally.
* Own and lead the roll out of any new systems/platforms while ensuring to communicate and train the team. Providing feedback to ensure.
Product Development:
* Lead on developing product lines out of team offsites, weddings, photoshoots, and other specialized events.
* Create customizable packages from additional product lines tailored to different industry segments, enhancing overall event satisfaction and driving revenue growth.
* Collaborate with marketing to promote these new offerings, developing pricing structures and marketing materials.
Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best possible terms and rates.
* Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and sales, to ensure alignment and support for events.
Marketing and Promotion:
* Collaborate with the marketing team in building out quarterly sales strategies to drive leads into the house through leveraging social media, email marketing, open houses, etc.
* Develop and implement creative event concepts that enhance Knotel’s brand and attract a diverse audience.
